Chris Sutton - GTHC 2nd - Derby v West Ham
FMOB Sutton is a massive Cnut

Derby v West Ham (19:45)
League One (4th) v Premier League (16th)
Who did they beat?
3R: Barnsley (L1) H 3R: Brentford (PL) A
2R: Newport County (L2) A
1R: Torquay (NL) Hr
When I started playing for Horsford Under-12s, I was only eight. We used to lose games about 20-0 most weeks.

By the time we were 12, we had started to batter everyone. That was when Derby boss Paul Warne came to play for us, so he never did the hard yards!

I'm so pleased to see Paul doing so well with Derby as a manager and not just because he used to play alongside me for my village team. He did a great job at Rotherham and I don't think he got enough credit for his work there.

He is a bit of an expert at getting promotion from League One and that is his aim this season too, but it means his side have a bit of a free hit at West Ham.

The Hammers' win over Everton last week was obviously huge for them, and for their manager David Moyes, but they have to be careful here.

A defeat would heap the pressure back on Moyes, who has to cope without injured striker Danny Ings. This could turn into a difficult evening for him.

Sutton's prediction: 1-0

Krept's prediction: 0-2

If anyone who predicted West Ham to lose was automatically a see you next Tuesday, then the world would be full of them.

Oh hang on....

Sutton is a massive wind-up and everyone knows it. He doesn't especially dislike West Ham any more than he seems to dislike anyone. He's quite funny once you remember that.

Re: Chris Sutton - GTHC 2nd - Derby v West Ham
It is funny how we freely say and mainly agree how atrocious we are at present, and list all the problems at the club, but then at the same time take offence when an outsider or even one of our own players or staff say similar.

Their form and team spirit is excellent. Ours isn’t. Moyes will set up as always to keep it tight and not give much away.

They get ahead in the game and Moyes/ Nevin might make some changes that see us try to attack a bit.

Us losing is plausible. We have not played well for 90 mins in 8-9 months ? When was the last game you thought “we look decent”. Seville in the Europa ?

To have a chance we have to score first but no surprise if we go out meekly

It's hardly the most outrageous call anyone's ever made is it ffs

We are absolutely fucking atrocious. We should have enough to beat them, but I certainly wouldn't be sticking shilling on it. We've struggled against lower league opposition when we've been in good form in the past, as we all more than know.

They are a flimsy team - West Ham will win 3 - 1

This tie will definitely be a tricky one.

I expect Moyes will go as strong as possible, it's one we definitely have to win.. Our confidence doesn't need further damage that's for sure.

Re: Chris Sutton - GTHC 2nd - Derby v West Ham
I can't see that being much of a factor, we have a big squad now, although if Antonio don't play we have no strikers, well apart from Bowen going up top.

Re: Chris Sutton - GTHC 2nd - Derby v West Ham
The fact that it falls 24 hours before the end of the transfer window could also come into play here. Will Antonio or.anyone else be gone or going? Any reinforcements to motivate or demotivate the incumbents?

What score are you predicting we beat the League One side by?

Good to see you not sitting on the fence. Manuel wouldn't like that.

Re: Chris Sutton - GTHC 2nd - Derby v West Ham
Fair enough. We beat a PL side away in the last round, and we go into this after a win last weekend. I doubt Sutton really believes Derby will win, but again it hardly matters does it.

Fwiw, I see a narrow win. The 5th round draw is before the game, so that could come into our motivation either way, depending who we get.

Unfortunately, my gut says we will, yes. I'll be very pleasantly surprised with a victory

Onsideman - Do you think we will lose? Don't go all round the houses, just a prediction?

Re: Chris Sutton - GTHC 2nd - Derby v West Ham
Yeah, fancy picking a team who after appointing a new manager are unbeaten in 18 league games, drew 0-0 at Anfield over 90 minutes and are currently on a run of 6 successive victories to beat a struggling Premier League team who couldn't beat Blackburn reserves at home and are in the middle of an injury crisis. What a cunt!

Manuel 2:48 Fri Jan 27
Re: Chris Sutton - GTHC 2nd - Derby v West Ham
Yes it's his opinion, but it is an honest opinion? I'm with Lard to an extent, does Sutton really believe a league 1 side is going to beat a PL side? I'd say he's being disrespectful, the cunt. Not that it matters a fuck of course in the real world.

Jesus, Lard. Are you on your period? It's his opinion, and he could be right.

If I was a neutral I’d be all over an upset for this one. It’s got all the hallmarks so I’m not sure I’d be cunting Sutton off for daring to say it.

What's the problem here?

The fact someone thinks we could lose at Derby???
